4 years ago today our world was rocked!! June 6, 2007...even thinking about it now makes me sick to my stomach.
Thanks for all the love and support over the last 4 years. We couldn't have gotten this far without so many of you.

It's taken forever to get out here and write an update, but better late than never. We returned from our 'Make a Wish' Disney trip on May 11th. What a great trip!!! And what an incredible organzation. We stayed at the Give Kids the World resort, and hit all the major parks throughout our trip. The whole experience was unreal. We actually can't imagine ever going back because we were so spoiled in so many ways, including not having to wait in lines for ANY of the rides!! Thank you to the Make a Wish organization and Give Kids the World. We really can't even put in words what a special trip it was. The girls had an absolute blast and so did we. They went on all the roller coasters (Faith especially is an adrenalin junky), got souvenirs, swam, met disney characters, ate whatever they wanted, even made a new friend or two...it was a dream trip! We put a few new photos on our site.
Back to reality unfortunately when we returned. Hailey had chemo last week and continues to get sick during and a couple days after. This one is hitting her harder than any of the treatments to this point. Eventually she bounces back to "normal" but it's getting consistently rough on her in the process. She even starts throwing up from association and anxiety right when we get to the hospital. We've tried and are still trying a variety of things to help with all this, but it appears at least for now that this is our reality. We'll see what happens as we go along.

Hailey had her MRI on Tuesday. We were able to confirm today that there appears to have been a tiny bit of shrinkage since last MRI. So since we started the Avastin/CPT-11 treatments, we have managed to get enough apparent overall shrinking to get us back to close to where we started when Hailey was first diagnosed with this tumor a few years ago, and to roughly the same size it was when we had to start back up on treatment again back in Feb of 2010. All in all, this MRI was a good result. Certainly better than the alternative. We will continue on with the Avastin treatment and have another MRI in 3 months.
SUB 20 follow up: I failed. Time ended up being 22:00 flat. Disappointing, but I will try again next year and start training a month earlier next time!
