Hailey and Family, We have never met, however, I currently work with Katie Hackstock and I use to work with your Grandpa John almost 10 years ago. You are such a sweet little girl and I know you will be strong through this for your mom, dad, and sister. My thoughts and prayers will be with you daily. You are a very lucky girl to have so many people and a wonderful family who care and love you. You are their ANGEL.

Hailey has a lot on her plate for the next few days. My prayers ask that Hailey has a germ cell tumor. In order to request such thing I needed to do some research to understand what that is. I thought I would share with those who are not familiar with GCTs. Background: Germ cell tumors (GCTs) are a distinct group of neoplasms with varied clinical presentation. Ninety-five percent of tumors arising in the testes are GCTs, indicating that they originate from the primordial germ cells. More than 90% of patients with GCT diagnosed early are cured. A delay in diagnosis correlates with a higher stage at presentation and, consequently, a lower cure rate. The success in treating GCTs in the past 2 decades is attributed largely to the effectiveness of cisplatin-containing combination chemotherapy in curing advanced disease.Hang in there little one.....our prayers are hoping you have GCTs.

Shannon---Needless to say it was a shock to hear about Hailey. She (and your family) have been in my prayers each and every day. May God hold you in the palm of his hands through this crisis. Wow Shannon and Brian!!!! I visited the website this morning and was the first to post a message and returned to visit this evening and I am overwhelmed at the amount of people who are praying for you guys. I am sure you are amazed as well. It is so wonderful to see!!! I also wanted to add that though it seems we are so far away here in Texas, our hearts are with you all the way through.
