Boy that is the best news I have heard in a really long time. I love to hear that shrinkage is possible and it gives Us lots of hope. Send those shrinkage vibes our way...Emma's MRI is May 1...Hope you are enjoying your blankets girls...enjoy that pizza tonight..

My son also had an astrocytoma in the 4th ventrical near the brain stem. It was removed at the University of Minnesota Hospital in 1988. He was 16 years old. It reappeared in 1993 and again was removed. He has been asymtomatic since. He received no chemo. He did have to undergo PT, OT and some cognitive rehabilitation immediately after surgery. Since the age of 4 he has had 26 CT or MRI scans. He is scanned every 2 years now. We will keep you all in our prayers. The Childrens's Tumor Foundation in New York is doing research in this area, and we have been supporters for over 20 years.

Shannon and Brian, I just checked out your website about your beautiful daughter Hailey and it broke my heart. Brian I went to high school with you and I felt the need to tell you that your little girl is in my thoughts and prayers. I work at a company in Appleton ( national Envelope) and we do fundraisers a couple times a year for various local organizations and charities and I will check with our human resource dept to see if we can do something for your little girl Hailey. Stay strong. Tracy.

Cherish the moment of the girls and their laughter. It is wonderful to hear that Hailey is doing ok and done well with her chemo at home. I uphold your family as i don't know if i would have the strength or courage to let my child go through that or not. God chooses you to be her parents for a reason also. Knowing you were strong, had determination and lots of love, and kindness, and the ability to carry on. God bless you all. Tonya & 2 girls

You don't know me but I have a daughter the same age as yours who had health issues and is now fine. My heart breaks when I read some of this because I know EXACTLY how it feels. The video of Hailey going under anesthesia? I've done that numerous times. But my daughter's fine and yours will be too. Someday you'll look back and wonder how you got through it, but you did. I'm proud of you and praying for you. R.

Hi Brian and Shannon, I saw your story on the morning news and I was so saddened and shocked when I realized that I knew you Brian. I went to highschool with you, Nicole Popp. My heart goes out to your family and to sweet little Hailey. I will be more than happy to spread the word any way I can. I have a children's photography studio, called StudioKids Photography in Menasha. I'd be more than happy to have a donation bucket at the studio and/or display any information you need to get the word out. Shannon- it was so great to see you at Sandy's shower this weekend. I watched the video you told me about. It is so touching! Your family is doing such an amazing job to help Hailey. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

For the first time since my 11th month old son has been born has he seen me cry. He was perplexed at the stream of tears running down my face as all my attention was focused on the tv...she is precious and all of those that have given whatever they can to help this little being are beautiful! My heart goes out to you...her glowing little face will be with me everyday, and i will be sure to pass on this site.
