I think what you are doing is wonderful for your daughter and for the world to know about this, I sent an e-mail to the Oprah show for you a couple weeks back. I just wanted to let you know i think your two awesome and wonderful people and parents. God be with you tomorrow and I will uphold your little Hailey in prayer along with your family. Since meeting Hailey through the birth to 3 program and finding out about her diagnosis, my family and I have been praying so hard and keeping you in our thoughts. We will continue to pray and spread the word. Good Luck tomorrow!

I will also pray for Hailey. I too have an Astrocytoma brain tumor (8cm)and have been doing chemo for last year. I wish her the best.

Hey Meltz Family - Always thinking about you, and my thoughts are always amazement as I watch you embrace this challenge. Faith and Hailey are so lucky to have you for parents. Oprah is going to get a million requests...but there is also another venue we can try. I'm a Nancy Grace (CNN) junkie and she is having an Extraordinary Parents contest...check out her website http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/nancy.grace/ There's a chance you'll be featured on CNN and do a live show with her. I was watching tonight and they had a little blurb about another family who is raising awareness about childhood cancer...and I was thinking that our Shannon is much more articulate and eloquent and could definately win this contest! So - let's bombard both Oprah and Nancy Grace!

Brian & Shannon, I felt compeled to let you know of my intentions for this evening. I have a Greenville Lioness meeting tonight and we are having a speaker talk to us about "Women Power"-Women who inspire you. While all my sisters, my mother, my daugthers and many countless women inspire me, I keep going back to Shannon. No time for feeling sorry for yourself. No time to sit and wait for someone else to make a difference. NO, you've gone out and hit the world by storm. Sorry Brian, tonight is all about Woman Power! So tonight, I'm arming myself with Hailey's story and your brave fight to do whatever it takes to fight this disease. Shannon, you inspire me as a women who can get things done! You've taken on this fight and I have no doubt that you will fight until a cure is found! So tonight, I will do my little part to help in your fight and spread the message a little further. I agree with other visitors who have signed the guestbook recently. If we all send this suggestion to OPrah, she will be bombarded with this topic and flood of e-mails. My son also suffers from this disease, so there are a lot of families that need further research for a cure. Hi. I'm one of Melissa Mader's students as well and she talks about Hailey all the time. I think it's the coolest thing that so many people have reached out to help touch this girls heart and keep her going and staying strong. I'm going to get a t-shirt too and where it proud! GO TEAM HAILEY!!!
