This weekend's race was a perfect example of how tough "Team Hailey" is. I loved it!! Wind in your face, it doesn't matter. We got the toughest badest bunch of people that are ready to fight. My wife Nikki and I preach to our kids about being tough, setting the example, and not to back down. It would have been real easy to throw in the towel on Saturday because of the ridiculous weather. We stood tall, put up a fight and showed our strength, determination, and love. Nice work everyone!- Let's continue to set the example for our little Hailey. Uncle John

Brian,Shannon,Faith and Hailey, WOW is all I can say about the race yesterday. I was so moved by all the people, pledges, support that came out of the day. And such a breezy day at that! Thanks to all that helped organize such an amazing event. I'm proud to be part of this family. We love you all so much, Auntie Krissy

Hey Brian. It has been a couple years since we last saw each other but I have been keeping up with your family's ongoing battle. After reading the latest articles and viewing the videos, my wife and I were overwhelmed with emotion. As parents of two children ourselves (son and daughter), we are amazed with the amount of love, patience and dedication you both have demonstrated toward this cause. We wish you and your family the best of luck and hope you have many more positive, happy moments than not. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care!

What an amazing event for Team Hailey today! Very well organized and awesome attendance! I have done numerous road races, triathlons and biking events and I can honestly say, I have never felt as moved as I did today while participating in the 5K run. The energy, strength, determination and love that was present today was unbelievable. All the volunteers were helpful, the course was simple, safe and well marked. I felt proud knowing that I was running for a cause...go Team Hailey!!

dear meltz family. i am not sure if you guys will remember me and my daughters. but we were in gym class with you guys awhile back. my daughters were amelya and breigh. i was reading the paper at my mom's and recognized your family. know truly that our family's prayers are with you (as we have expanded by one more daughter and are expecting again). trust that god is good all of the time. that he works ALL things out for good. (romans 8:28) we only see a few strokes at a time in the pictures of our lives. jeremiah 29:11 is another excellent verse to lean and trust on. may god do an incredible miracle in your family...because he does cool stuff like that! keep on keeping on. shaun, amanda, amelya, breigh, caitlyn and baby d

Our son Evan is classmates with your beautiful Hailey. Please leave a note in our box if there's anything we can do to help. I wish we could come to your walk - but we're doing the Autism walk that day to support our little guy. Thinking of you...

I didnt know about this type of disease till I watched the clip you had on TV. I do howeveer know and understand all to well how difficult it is to live and try to be like everyone else when you are sick most of your life. My prayers are with you and little Hailey for strength in this battle and challenging time. God bless you! It is wonderful that you as parents are bringing awareness about this since it isnt as well known. I will keep you and little Hailey in my prayers.

Dear Meltz Family, I know both of you from UW Oshkosh, so I can't even begin to explain the bizarre circumstances that led me to your Website earlier this week; however I am sure glad that they did. As a mother of a two year old daughter and a four year old daughter your story has touched my heart beyond words; I am truly humbled as a mother and a wife. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. Lori Debevec (Lovy)
